About this painting −
In this painting, I wanted to capture the quiet moment when winter softens into evening and the world becomes briefly suspended in color. The cabin, with its warm windows and rising smoke, is a small heartbeat in a vast stillness. I painted the sky in deep gradients of pink and orange to convey a sense of fading warmth, contrasted with the cool blue of untouched snow. This scene reflects a feeling I return to often: the solace of returning home, the glow of light against the cold, and the gentle promise of calm that settles just before nightfall. It is a memory, a longing, and a refuge woven into color.
