About this painting −
In this painting, I wanted to capture the strange, suspended quiet that happens just after sunset, when colors feel more like emotions than hues. The small house, the drifting smoke, the surreal silhouettes they all come from a memory of standing alone in an open field, sensing both safety and mystery at once. I painted this moment to explore the feeling of being anchored and unanchored simultaneously, as if the world holds its breath before shifting into night. Every layer of color carries that soft tension between calm and wonder, between what is grounded and what is dissolving into air.
