About this painting −
I painted this quiet rural scene as a meeting point between darkness and warmth. The red sky holds the last intensity of the day, while the small cottage and its glowing windows offer a gentle sense of shelter. A solitary sheep stands near the horizon, almost like a quiet witness to the fading light. I wanted the bold contrast of crimson and black to feel dramatic at first glance, yet deeply peaceful the longer you stay with it.
